Adult Gustav Adolf recalls a pivotal 1930s day in a Copenhagen working‑class neighbourhood when, as a boy, he and his parents went to the beach to swim. In his cramped backyard apartment, young Gustav (Benjamin Rothenborg Vibe) idolizes his talkative father Axel (Erik Clausen), who spins tales of his Argentine pampas adventures.
