A young woman embarks on a solitary journey to her deceased husband’s hometown of Leshan, a small city in Sichuan province. There, she reconnects with an old friend, a local theatre actress rehearsing an adaptation of Bertolt Brecht’s The Good Person of Szechwan. In this unfamiliar setting, the traveling woman encounters the realm of imagination. Influenced by Shen Te, the play's protagonist, the actress grapples with a loss of identity, blurring the lines between fiction and reality. The filmmaker finds herself losing control as they both drift into a unique and suspended experience.
