The Forge

In Charlotte, Cynthia pressures her 19-year-old son Isaiah to find a job or move out. He remains lax about chores and his future, choosing basketball and video games over responsibility. With his dated Ford Mustang broken in the garage, he keeps commuting by bicycle.

At a local coffee shop, Isaiah flirts with Abigail, but her father ejects him. He tries to apply for a position at Moore Fitness, hoping for a break. A man who walks in and asks why he's there turns out to be Joshua Moore, the company's president, who invites him to lunch.

During lunch, Joshua hands Isaiah his business card and asks three probing questions, telling him to call when he's ready to answer. Isaiah leaves with a mix of skepticism and curiosity about being mentored. The invitation plants the seed for a potential career and life guidance.

Cynthia discusses Isaiah's future with friends, while he asks to borrow her car as part of his job search. After several dead ends applying, he returns home late from basketball, losing track of time. Cynthia lambasts him, comparing him to his father, and Isaiah storms off.

During a conversation with a truck driver, Isaiah discovers that the driver is his own father who abandoned the family years earlier. He opens up to Joshua about wanting revenge, but Joshua relates his own grief and urges forgiveness, giving Isaiah his journal to chart his path. This confrontation marks a turning point in Isaiah's healing.

Overhearing his mother Cynthia's suspicion, Isaiah forgives his father and praises the Lord. At the Forge, Joshua presents Isaiah with a sword as a symbol of support and brotherhood. A Forge member, Bobby, confesses that he was the drunk driver responsible for Jalen's death, and explains that Joshua had helped him find faith.

Isaiah begins paying rent, undergoes baptism, and continues to follow the Lord with renewed discipline. He tells Joshua that he has written to his dad, seeking reconciliation. Cynthia reveals the newly repaired Mustang, fixed with Joshua's help, and presents it to Isaiah.

Isaiah returns to the coffee shop to apologize to Abigail and to her dad, who accepts his apology. The two reconnect as friends, and his past missteps gradually fade as trust rebuilds.

The Moores are in Dallas for a crucial business meeting where Emmet raises Slayer Sports as a competing gym company and Gym Fit's top account, Greyson Lance, pushes for a large 3,000-unit order. Joshua urges the team to extend their shift, taking on another 16 hours to meet the deadline. Isaiah directly negotiates with Lance and helps secure a seven-year partnership for Moore Fitness.

In a mid-credits scene, Isaiah receives a message from his father asking to talk. In a separate moment, he runs into Abigail in college, hinting at a continuing, friendly connection between them.
