Nestled in the southern Appalachian mountains, Cole Freeman strives to maintain a precarious balance in his declining mining town. He cares for the elderly while also providing prescription drugs to the community, walking a fine line between compassion and questionable actions. His fragile existence is threatened when an old friend returns with a dangerous scheme, forcing Cole to examine his values and confront who he truly is.
