Desperate to please his flamboyant, young wife, alienist Dr. Emil Brandt becomes consumed by the idea of committing the “Crime of the Century.” He meticulously plans the perfect crime, but ultimately pleads with the police to imprison him before he can follow through, fearing he cannot control his own impulses.
