Brother against brother, father against son—each vying for the Coolangatta Gold. Nineteen‑year‑old Steve Lucas burns with resentment for living in his brother Adam’s shadow, while Adam feels his father’s pressure to win the grueling Coolangatta Gold tri‑aquathon: a 20 km beach run, 6 km swim and 17 km surf‑ski leg from Surfers Paradise to Coolangatta and back. The film follows their clash and the extreme endurance required to conquer the ultimate test.
