Bellavance is released on bail and immediately learns that $500,000 is missing. He realizes he has only two days to flee to a non-extradition country and orders his four henchmen to retrieve the money and send a loud, violent message to the thieves’ families.

Lloyd leads the four-man team to the Rutledge house to locate the stolen cash and intimidate the occupants. They break in during the night, ignoring pleas for mercy and beginning their search. The plan is to deliver a loud and messy message to the thieves’ families.

The intruders kill Maggie and terrify Bill as they demand the money. Bill is tortured for information to reveal the location.

Chissolm pursues Lauren through the house while the others search for the money. Owen fights back, injuring the intruder with a baseball bat and box cutter blades, allowing him and Lauren to escape.

Lloyd shoots Bill Rutledge, killing him. The intruders continue their search for the money, leaving Bill dead as a message.

Owen and Lauren manage to escape from the house and flee into the woods. They rely on Owen's quick improvisation to stay ahead of the killers.

Inside the house, Lloyd and Freddie uncover medical paperwork showing that Owen had been institutionalised for violent behaviour after permanently disabling three bullies. The report notes that Owen's discharge was secured by using the stolen money.

Chissolm and Wydofski follow the children into the woods, and Owen’s booby trap injures Chissolm. Lauren defeats Wydofski by stabbing him after gaining the upper hand.

Under cover of darkness, Owen and Lauren break into a local used car dealership to obtain transport. They are ambushed by the three remaining men, leading to a tense confrontation.

Freddie is killed when Owen stabs him in the skull with Wydofski’s hunting knife. Lloyd shoots Owen, but the bullet is deflected by a hub cap Owen had placed in his jacket, sparing him.

A badly injured Chissom returns from the woods and is shot by Lloyd for incompetence. The pursuit tightens as the group closes in on Owen and Lauren.

Owen uses ammonia and bleach to create a chloramine gas trap in the basement, incapacitating Lloyd. He then drops a dresser onto Lloyd's head, killing him.

The next morning, Owen and Lauren arrive at Bellavance's hideout as he prepares to flee the country. Bellavance opens an envelope containing Polaroids of his dead men and realises the siblings are driving a family rental van toward him.
