A down‑and‑out laborer scrambles to raise enough cash to keep a promise of building a home for his future spouse, to repay the loan on his truck, and to find a roof for an evicted young woman with nowhere to go. He takes on odd jobs, juggling pressure while struggling to meet three obligations.
