Arjun Venkataraman, an aging cricketer, has been battling poor form and is at risk of being dropped from the Indian cricket team. With the pressure mounting, he sees one last test match as his opportunity to leave the sport on a high note.

The ICF Member Ramasamy calls for a board meeting where he proposes Arjun's retirement due to his lack of performance. Despite support from the team captain and coach, Arjun decides to quit right then and threatens a press conference, which prompts the board to hesitate on immediate changes.

Kumudha, a school teacher and Arjun’s former acquaintance, makes plans for IVF treatment in the hopes of having a child. However, she is faced with the challenge of financial constraints and pressures from her husband, Saravanan, who is struggling with debt.

Saravanan, Kumudha's husband, quietly works on a hydro-fuel project but is under intense financial strain due to mounting debts. He desperately needs funds to save his project, leading him to make questionable decisions regarding money.

At home, tensions arise when young Adi, Arjun's son, expresses a desire to see his father play. In a moment of frustration, Arjun slaps Adi, causing the boy to refuse to return home, showcasing the strain on their family due to Arjun's career struggles.

The first day of the final test match begins with Pakistan taking a strong lead, ending Day 1 at 280/4. India desperately needs to find its footing in the upcoming sessions, putting additional pressure on Arjun as he prepares to bat.

In a turn of events, Sara is forced to take a loan to fund his wife’s IVF procedure due to an unexpected bribe demanded by a government officer. This prompts further desperation in Sara's attempts to secure his financial situation while managing his family.

After a confrontation with Kumudha, Sara’s frustrations culminate in a kidnapping plot where he locks Adi and Kumudha in separate rooms, urging Arjun to adhere to a criminal plan during the match for financial leverage.

As the test match continues, Arjun faces an ethical dilemma of complying with the demands of his kidnappers while longing to win the match for India. His internal conflict escalates when he is called to act against his own principles.

Arjun reluctantly follows the instructions given to him under duress, resulting in moments of betrayal during the game. However, he also begins to plot against the kidnappers while balancing his responsibilities on the field.

In a brave moment, Kumudha confronts Saravanan, realizing the need to take matters into her own hands. Her determination leads her to take action to save her son, resulting in a shocking climax.

In a dramatic culmination, Kumudha confronts Sara just as he plans to harm Adi. She takes decisive action to protect her family, killing Sara just before Arjun wins the match for India, showcasing the intertwining of sports and their personal lives.

The match concludes with India securing victory, yielding a symbolic win for Arjun and a newfound hope for his family. Amidst the chaos, Sara's hydro-fuel project is launched, intertwining their personal and professional trials.
