Teen Titans: Trouble in Tokyo

A high-tech ninja Saico-Tek unleashes destruction on Jump City with color-glowing glaives that explode. The Teen Titans intervene, but Saico-Tek remains one step ahead thanks to his arsenal, martial skills, and regenerative abilities. The clash establishes the threat that will drive the Titans abroad.

Robin dives from the roof with a jetpack to close in on Saico-Tek and manages to capture him. The Titans press for answers, but Saico-Tek can only speak Japanese, blocking a straightforward interrogation. Robin deploys a translator to begin deciphering his message.

Using the translation program, Robin learns that Saico-Tek fears failing his master Brushogun. In a sudden move, Saico-Tek triggers a fire sprinkler and dissolves into black goo, ending the interrogation abruptly. The Titans decide to pursue Brushogun in Japan.

The Titans travel to Tokyo, Japan to search forBrushogun, setting the stage for a foreign mission and a new set of threats. They prepare for a clash with forces far from Jump City.

A shadowy figure, presumed to be Brushogun, uses computer monitors to spy on the Titans in Tokyo. The group remains unaware of the spy’s true identity as they begin their search.

Robin struggles with the language barrier as he starts investigating in Shinjuku. The rest of the team pursues their own subplots while the main objective to locate Brushogun remains unresolved.

A green kaiju-scale reptilian monster named Deka-Mido attacks Tokyo, testing the Titans with its regenerative powers. The Tokyo Troopers deploy an energy cage to halt the creature and escort the Titans to their headquarters.

Robin requests to use the Troopers’ equipment, only to be told that Brushogun is essentially an urban legend. The Titans are warned to enjoy Tokyo but refrain from heroics while the local forces assess the situation.

The Titans split up as they explore Tokyo: Cyborg tries a sushi challenge, Beast Boy falls for a teenage girl and ends up at a karaoke bar, while Raven browses for something to read. Robin and Starfire share quiet moments, visiting Tokyo Tower and an arcade, before Starfire’s impulsive choice disrupts their mood.

A shadowy figure sends a new pink-clad Saico-Tek to finish Robin. They engage in a violent duel, and Robin barely holds his ground before he delivers a crushing blow that seems to end Saico-Tek. Daizo arrests Robin for what looks like murder.

The Mayor of Tokyo announces Robin’s arrest and pressures the Titans to surrender or leave the city. Starfire reaches out to regroup the team, but Brushogun sends his minions to destroy the Titans in response to their presence.

Robin escapes the truck transporting him to a secure facility and is found by the Tokyo Troopers. Starfire rescues him and brings him to a shrine where they attempt a kiss, interrupted by the arrival of the rest of the Titans. Raven reveals from a book that Brushogun was an artist whose attempt to bring drawings to life transformed him into an evil being of ink.

The Titans track Brushogun to an abandoned comic book publishing factory and discover him trapped in a cursed printing press that harnesses his powers. He reveals Saico-Tek was sent to lure them to Tokyo and that Daizo used Brushogun’s powers to create monsters and pose as a hero.

Daizo forces Brushogun to create an army of animated ink minions. Robin corners Daizo, who takes control of Brushogun’s magic and becomes a mechanical ink monster. The Titans battle, Robin frees Brushogun, who dies, dissipating the ink minions and depowering Daizo.

Robin and Starfire finally confess their feelings and share their first kiss after the battle. Robin’s name is cleared and Daizo is imprisoned, with the Titans receiving medals for their actions. They choose to stay in Tokyo a little longer to enjoy a well-earned vacation.
