Ganesh, Pawan Kalyan, is a recent college graduate who has spent four years pursuing Sandhya, Devayani, hoping to win her affection. Sandhya warns him to stop following her, but he persists. Ganesh’s friend Peter, Karan, introduces him to Sandhya’s friend, who tries to help but fails. On Ganesh’s birthday, he attempts to express his love but is caught by Sandhya’s father, a police officer, and is taken away for harassing his daughter. Ganesh’s father, Dr. Chandrashekhar, Raghuvaran, a renowned psychologist, bails him out. Ganesh’s father and he share a close bond, since Ganesh lost his mother in childhood. Despite his leniency, his father urges him to work hard and settle down. Ganesh emotionally tells his father that he needs Sandhya, and the father agrees to move forward with the proposal.

Ganesh’s father goes to Sandhya’s father with a marriage proposal, but Sandhya’s father insults him. He decides to take his daughter and his wife to his sister’s house in Hyderabad, but changes his mind on the bus. Ganesh thinks Sandhya is in Hyderabad and sets out to search for her. Meanwhile, Ganesh’s father dies the same day he leaves, in a road accident after witnessing a boy commit suicide because his girlfriend had left him. Ganesh’s friends desperately try to trace his whereabouts; Peter performs the last rites of Ganesh’s father. Ganesh arrives and is heartbroken that he could not even perform his father’s cremation.

Sandhya now realises her love for Ganesh. She reveals her feelings for him and tells him that she wants to spend the rest of her life with him, asking him to wait at the regular bus stop. But Ganesh rejects her love, explaining that he had already spent four years and his father for her, and that she is not worth it. The next day, Sandhya waits at the bus stop for him. Ganesh’s friends start a restaurant with his father’s name, and Ganesh attends the job interview suggested by his father.
