Rano works at a beauty parlour and dreams of marrying a Prince Charming and moving to Canada. She soon learns that her school friends have found success while her own prospects seem limited. The dream of Canada starts to feel increasingly distant.

An immigration consultant pitches a two-year course in a Canadian cosmetology college, with steep fees—Rs 4 lakhs per semester plus Rs 5 lakhs upfront as commission. He claims that several men are willing to pay to obtain Canadian permanent residence by marrying her on paper. The consultant secretly sends a prospective groom to the beauty parlour, creates a scene, and Rano loses her job.

Rano returns to her village and her father arranges an arranged marriage to Sukha against her will. She finds herself trapped in a patriarchal household with little freedom. The marriage marks the beginning of a difficult new phase in her life.

Rano moves into Sukha's in-law home, where an unsympathetic aunt and abusive brother-in-law make life miserable. Sukha encourages her not to give up, proposing she start a small beauty parlour from home and aim for Canada within six months from her earnings.

Sukha's brother-in-law grows jealous and drives them out, forcing a move to the city. A compassionate landlady helps by letting them use the upper floor of her apartment for a beauty parlour and by referring clients to their shop.

With the landlady's support, the beauty parlour starts thriving. Sukha handles odd jobs and support at the shop while Rano builds her clientele. The aunt relaxes her stance and joins them, bringing her son to live with them.

They save money toward the immigration plan but come up short by Rs 2 lakhs. They borrow from the landlady and friends who form a chit fund to help, pooling resources to reach Canada.

Sukha's brother-in-law learns of the money and demands repayment, threatening to eject Sukha's sister from the home. Sukha yields and pays, but his sister and her children still leave due to abusive treatment, seeking refuge with Sukha and Rano.

With no funds left for Canada, the landlady suggests Rano join a bridal makeup artist contest hosted by Neeru Bajwa. She is initially dismissed by the event manager for lacking English, but she perseveres and wins through hard work and Sukha's unwavering support.

Onstage, Rano delivers a powerful speech about how no one supported her, but Sukha stood by her and helped her realize her dream. She proclaims that her Canada is here in India with him and invites him onstage as the audience applauds.

The film ends with a new beauty parlour opening in Sukha's village, where Rano tends to clients and life begins to normalize. Sukha returns with tickets to Malaysia, signaling a new adventure.

Rano and Sukha board a flight to Malaysia, celebrating the life they built together and embracing a future beyond formal immigration. Their happiness centers on partnership and shared dreams rather than a distant country.
