Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari

Suraj and his friend Sukhi decide to adopt a loud, rebellious persona in the hope of impressing prospective brides. They embark on a thrill-seeking drive that breaks rules and invites comical chaos. Unknown to them, their escapades are being filmed by private detective Madhu Mangal Rane.

The two friends disguise themselves to survey Mangal's office and learn how he conducts background checks. The undercover visit reveals the detective's operation and hints at the trouble to come for Suraj's plans. Their curiosity plants the seed for the ensuing confrontation.

In the late hours, Suraj and Sukhi break into Mangal's office and are confronted by security. Tulshi, returning from tuition, stumbles upon the intruders and scrutinizes the scene. Suraj's coat gets stuck in the door, their eyes meet, and the moment complicates their feud with an unexpected spark.

Suraj finds a family photo featuring Mangal that had been stolen earlier and discovers Tulshi is Mangal's sister. He later encounters her at a cosmetics store and they strike up a casual conversation, with Suraj obtaining her phone number. The discovery personalizes the conflict and pulls them closer against the feud.

Suraj returns Tulshi's damaged moped and uses it as an excuse to take her out. They go on a date, and Tulshi begins to warm to his romantic advances. As their bond strengthens, she starts questioning the traditional limitations of her world.

Tulshi reveals her occupation as a DJ, defying traditional expectations. They discover that her tuition class leads to a discotheque, where she performs on stage in a modern avatar. Suraj and Sukhi enjoy the music, while Sukhi sees new opportunities to use the situation.

Mangal's plan to secure a match backfires when the first suitor withdraws after seeing Tulshi's DJ avatar in the newspaper. The shock disrupts the family's expectations and compels Mangal to rethink his approach. Tulshi's modern life clashes with the old-fashioned schemes around her.

At the station, Mangal pulls the emergency chain to stop the train in a desperate bid to find Suraj. With no wallet and no support from the Dhillons to pay the penalties, Mangal ends up jailed as the chaotic pursuit ends in tragedy.
