Superman Returns

For five years, Superman has been absent from Earth, drawn into the depths of space by the hope of discovering the lost planet Krypton. During this time, significant changes occur on Earth, including a rise in terrorism and the transformation of Lois Lane's life.

In Superman's absence, Lois Lane settles into a new life with Perry White's nephew and begins a family. She gains recognition and wins a Pulitzer Prize for her article titled 'Why the World Doesn't Need Superman', reflecting the world's changed perspective on its former hero.

Lex Luthor deceives wealthy widow Gertrude Vanderworth, inheriting her fortune after claiming to have turned a new leaf post-prison. He embarks on a journey to Superman's Fortress of Solitude with his assistant Kitty and henchmen.

Once at the Fortress of Solitude, Lex discovers crystals containing valuable information passed down from Superman's father, Jor-El. This discovery reveals a potential threat that Lex plans to utilize against Superman.

Superman makes his long-awaited return to Earth, landing near the Kent Farm in Kansas. After a heartfelt reunion with his mother, Martha Kent, he adopts his Clark Kent persona and heads towards Metropolis.

In Metropolis, Superman is warmly welcomed back by his friends, including reporter Jimmy Olsen and Perry White. His reunion with Lois Lane, however, is bittersweet as she is on a jetliner experiencing a perilous situation.

Lex Luthor plots a heist at the Metropolis Museum to acquire the rare Addis Ababa meteorite, which contains kryptonite. This theft is part of his larger scheme against Superman, taking advantage of his vulnerabilities.

As Lois delves into the mystery of the power outage, she finds herself in grave danger aboard Lex's yacht. Lex reveals his plan to flood the Earth using the crystals, showcasing his heartless ambition and the kryptonite he possesses.
