The plan takes an unexpected turn when Superman strides into a familiar rescue scene: he saves a young boy at the Falls, a moment that intensifies Lois’s suspicions and pushes her to press Clark for the truth. In an attempt to neutralize the threat, Superman contemplates stripping himself of his powers by exposing himself to red Kryptonian sunlight within a crystal chamber.
