Julie begins babysitting at the Hummers' residence when she receives disturbing phone calls from a sinister figure known as the 'Breather.' The atmosphere grows tense as she tries to shake off the feeling of being watched and unsafe in the house.

Julie's boyfriend, Charlie, unexpectedly arrives at the Hummers' home. They decide to head upstairs for some private time, but Julie insists that Charlie take a shower first, leaving her momentarily alone.

While Julie waits for Charlie, the Breather stealthily navigates through the house, eventually finding a paper clip to use as a weapon. In a shocking turn of events, he fatally stabs Julie, leaving her lifeless before Charlie returns.

When Charlie returns from the shower, he experiences pure horror upon discovering Julie's body. The Breather has also managed to cover him with a large green garbage bag, leading to a terrifying demise.

During the funeral of Julie and Charlie, Principal Peters addresses the saddened crowd about various school events transpiring that day. The overwhelming grief is palpable as attendees struggle with the loss.

Amidst the mourners, Malvert, the janitor, stands out with his green gloves and black boots, prompting Principal Peters to comment on his odd demeanor. Uncertainty looms as his motives appear questionable.

Toby confides in her friend Hardy about her previous warnings to Julie regarding Charlie. Their conversation reveals concerns about the boyfriend's character, creating an unsettling atmosphere as the funeral goes on.

As Joe and Bertha attempt to sneak away in his car for some privacy, their plans take a horrifying turn when the killer ambushes Bertha with a bookend shaped like a wooden horse's head. Joe returns unaware, only to meet a gruesome fate.

At Lamab High School, Toby discovers the bloodied bookend linked to the recent murders and brings it to Mr. Dumpkin’s attention. Dumpkin is impressed by Toby's skills, but the dark reality of the situation shadows their conversation.

In the girls' locker room, the ominous presence of the Breather grows as he watches the girls undress. Toby feels an overwhelming sense of fear but manages to escape just in time, though she has an unsettling encounter with Malvert.

As Toby and her classmates participate in the town parade, a sense of normalcy is shattered when Dagmar is attacked by the killer on a float. Poor Ralph returns only to join her tragic fate as the horror unfolds in public view.

In Principal Peters' office, Toby is confronted by various authority figures who suspect her of wrongdoing. After receiving a threatening phone call regarding a planned murder at the football game, her fear escalates.

As the football game unfolds, a series of tragic incidents occur, resulting in unexpected deaths among the crowd. Toby gathers her courage and prepares to take action against the chaos, desperate to find the truth.

Toby dons a bold outfit for the prom, believing that answers lie within Principal Peters' office. However, as the night descends into terror, Toby realizes she must act fast to survive amidst the deception.

Toby experiences a nightmarish twist as she discovers that her love interest, Hardy, is hiding deadly intentions. The climax leads to Toby’s own funeral, where the horror of her fate is revealed in a chilling conclusion.
