Plot Summary
“It ain’t easy…being green” is Stormé DeLarverie’s favorite saying, reflecting a life that defied gender and racial expectations. In the 1950s and ’60s she toured the black‑theatre circuit as a mistress of ceremonies and was the sole male impersonator in the Jewel Box Revue, America’s first integrated female‑impersonation show, a forerunner of La Cage aux Folles.
