Storm chaser Jamie Marshall, still grieving her husband who died when his plane was struck by lightning, throws herself into a Colorado assignment. There she teams with FEMA coordinator Will Stanton. While examining tornado wreckage they’re struck by a massive ball of lightning, share a kiss, and later discover a secret lab whose experimental waste is destabilizing the atmosphere. With seven new tornadoes looming, they race to safeguard the battered town.
