Sean and his crew, known as the Mob, confront the harsh reality of life in Los Angeles as they face rejection at numerous auditions. Their financial difficulties worsen as they resort to selling their possessions online, which highlights their desperate situation as they fall behind on rent.

The Mob's journey leads them to a vibrant club where they encounter their rivals, the Grim Knights. A dance battle ensues, resulting in a humiliating defeat for the Mob, which raises doubts about their dancing aspirations and leads to thoughts of returning to Miami.

Despite the setbacks, Sean learns about an exciting dance competition called The Vortex, which promises a three-year booking in Las Vegas. This news reignites Sean's determination and hope, motivating him to rally a new crew to compete.

Moose, who has shifted his focus to engineering, initially hesitates to rejoin the dance world. However, after encouragement from his girlfriend, Camille, who understands his passion for dance, Moose decides to support Sean in preparing for the competition.
