Sreekrishna Parunthu

Pappu, the senior magician of Puthoor Tharavad, senses his coming end. He decides to transfer all his magical knowledge to his nephew Kumaran Thampi before he dies. Kumaran reluctantly accepts, bound by the vow of Brahmacharya to maintain celibacy as a condition of the transfer.

With Pappu's death, Kumaran is recognized as the new healer of the village, famed for reviving snakebite victims and warding off evil. He carries forward the family tradition and becomes the local magician.

One night, Kumaran encounters Lakshmikutty's ghost at the ancestral palace. The ghost, who died of a snake bite during an earlier sexual encounter with Kumaran, tries to tempt him. Using his powers, Kumaran gains control and she vows not to disturb him as long as he keeps his Brahmacharya.

Choorakkattu Bhattathiri, a rival black magician, seeks to dominate the locality by undermining Kumaran's abilities. He worships Vada-yakshi who resides in the Banyan tree with the demoness Dhuma and hatches plots against Kumaran. Kumaran escapes his traps using his magic.

Kumaran is drawn toward Bhanumathi, a woman who unsettles him with dreams and visions. Her presence disturbs his focus, foreshadowing trouble for his vow of Brahmacharya.

On a night of weakness, Kumaran gives in to temptation and has sex with Meenakshi, a local prostitute. The act shatters his vow and weakens his magical powers, including his ability to invoke Garuda.

Lakshmikutty returns due to Kumaran's breached vow. Kumaran uses his powers to control her and locks her inside his outbuilding. As he has broken his celibacy, he cannot invoke Garuda anymore, and he gradually shifts toward black magic for power.

Choorakkattu Bhattathiri intensifies his vendetta by employing Vada Yakshi and the Dhuma demoness to kill Kumaran's relatives. Garuda saves Kumaran's devout mother from Vada Yakshi, while Dhuma burns Kumaran's niece; the nephew survives thanks to an amulet.

Kumaran marries Bhanumathi, a union that causes his mother to leave his home. The wedding marks a new phase, but Kumaran remains vulnerable to supernatural temptations.

On the eve of the marriage, Lakshmikutty tempts Kumaran again and they have sex. As a punishment, Lakshmikutty curses him that he will not be able to have sex with any other woman.

One night, Bhanumathi enters the outbuilding and mistakes Lakshmikutty for a real woman. The ghost then possesses Bhanumathi, disturbing Kumaran. Kumaran's attempt to destroy the ghost leads to Bhanumathi's suicide.

Desperate, Kumaran abandons Garuda's worship and becomes a disciple of Kunjambu, devoting himself to Varthali, the negative spirit of Varahi. With this dark path, he destroys Lakshmikutty and Choorakkattu Bhattathiri, turning Bhattathiri into a lunatic.

News reaches Kumaran that relatives plan to seize the manuscripts from the ancestral palace. Garuda attacks him as he enters the palace, and the Goddess Vishnu Parunthu appears to confront him. He attempts to counter with Varthali, but the goddess curses him and sets the palace on fire.

Kumaran suffers severe burns but escapes the burning palace. He finally breathes his last after transferring all his knowledge to his nephew, fulfilling the family tradition.
