Space Raiders

Captain Hawkens and his crew hijack an interstellar freighter owned by The Company. A ten-year-old named Peter secretly slips aboard to hide amid the chaos. The raid proceeds and the pirates depart with the freighter, unaware that a stowaway has joined their mission.

During the rendezvous between ships, Peter reveals himself to Hawk. Peter volunteers to help fix a damaged power conduit, risking his life to aid the escape. Awed by the boy's bravery, Hawk vows to return Peter home to Procyon III.

The crew pauses at a space station run by alien crime lord Zariatin. The stay offers supplies and respite but also puts Peter within reach of those who would ransom him. Hawk keeps watch, wary of any threats to the boy.

On Procyon III, Peter's father meets The Company's security director, who decides to track Peter with an advanced robot ship. This automated cruiser can follow Peter by reading the identity tag he wears. The plan sets the stage for a dangerous chase.

Back at Zariatin's station, bounty hunters spot Peter and realize he is a valuable ransom. Flightplan senses danger as Peter sneaks away from his cabin. Hawk locates him and promises that he will not let anyone harm him, even as Zariatin grows furious.

Zariatin demands that Hawk steal four Company fuel ships from a depot on Regulus V to guarantee performance. Peter must stay at the station during the theft. Although reluctant to abandon the boy, Hawk agrees to the plan and instructs Amanda to take Peter home after the job.

Hawk returns to Peter's cabin only to find the boy missing. A chase erupts as the bounty hunters pursue Peter through the station corridors. Hawk confronts the danger in a bid to recover him.

The bounty hunters' ship engages the pursuit but is destroyed by the Company robot ship in self-defense. Peter survives by using an escape pod, which Hawk retrieves after reuniting with the pod. The pursuit continues as they head toward Regulus V.

On the way to Regulus V, Hawk teaches Peter how to fire the ship's lasers, using asteroids as targets for practice. They arrive at Regulus V and prepare to strike the Company tanker ships guarding the convoy. Peter's growing skill and resolve become crucial to their survival.

Hawk's crew battles the depot security on Regulus V and steals four fuel ships for The Company's cargo. The pursuing Company robot ship follows the convoy to ensure the theft's success. The stakes are high as the two ships tail the stolen freighters.

Amanda's attempt to escort Peter home ends in tragedy when her ship is ambushed by Zariatin's starfighters and crashes on a nearby planet. Amanda is killed, and Peter is captured for ransom by Zariatin's guards. The boy's fate becomes even more uncertain as the robot ship closes in.

Flightplan rescues Peter but is shot by Zariatin's guards during the escape. Peter finds Hawk in the bar with the remaining crew as alarms signal the approaching robot ship. The station's defense fleets launch to thwart the intruder, but they are outmatched.

The station's defenses fail to stop the robot ship as it closes in on Hawk's crew. The last two of Hawk's crew are killed, and Hawk fatally wounds Zariatin. Peter helps Hawk reach his ship, and they escape as the station explodes behind them.

With the robot ship bearing down, Peter fires the lasers at the moment its defenses drop, destroying the enemy vessel. Hawk, badly wounded, regains consciousness long enough to pilot Peter home to Procyon III. Peter disembarks safely, while Hawk drifts back into space toward an uncertain future.
