The film centers on Mary Nepi as Sara, a high school student who, after losing her virginity to her boyfriend Austin Fryberger as Skyler, wakes up to a shocking reality: she is pregnant. This unsettling turn of events sets off a chain reaction that blends body horror with a race against time, as Sara and her friend Gabrielle Elyse as Hayley try to make sense of what’s happening to her.
In a clinic where fear runs high, Sara gives birth to an alien creature. The terrifying being swiftly attacks and kills everyone present, forcing Sara and Hayley to flee. The escape is messy and frantic, and they soon discover that Sara is still pregnant with another creature, intensifying the stakes and the sense that something larger and more sinister is at work. Seeking help, they turn to Rich Fulcher as Dave, a farm operator who specializes in animal reproduction. He offers to administer an uterotonic to Sara to manage the bizarre development, but their efforts are interrupted when Officer Nick Gomez as Oscar Ruiz arrives, having been searching for Sara and Hayley to question what happened at the clinic. He escorts them to the police station and calls Sara’s mother, but the station becomes a target as the creature born from Sara’s first delivery launches a deadly assault, killing everyone inside.
The second alien is born, and the first alien, still linked to Sara’s mother, seizes it. Sara and Hayley rush to Skyler’s house, where she discovers that Skyler’s condition—his apparent hypersexual drive—has a clear connection to the earlier events. Skyler flees, leaving Sara determined to uncover the truth. With Hayley’s brother aiding them, the pair hack Skyler’s computer and uncover a disturbing clue: during a trip to Mexico, Skyler had broken an ancient Mayan doll, releasing a gas he inhaled, which appears to empower the creatures.
Armed with this knowledge, Sara and Hayley realize that the alien is using human bodies to procreate and that the threat has moved toward Sara’s friend Kiana’s party. At the party, they confront the monsters, fighting them and eventually managing to kill the threats and rescue Sara’s mother from danger. The story builds toward a grim, unresolved tension as the source of the invasion remains at large, leaving room for a continuing battle beyond the events depicted.
In the post-credits scene, a bound Skyler is taken away by a pair of government agents, hinting at ongoing investigations and implying that the struggle between humanity and the alien threat is far from over.
