In the ninth entry of Daiei’s long‑running Nemuri Kyoshiro saga, Raizo Ichikawa returns as the wandering swordsman Nemuri Kyoshiro, known as the Son of the Black Mass. He is tasked with escorting a gold statuette of the Virgin Mary to Kyoto, while fending off a ruthless band of Christian ronin called the Black Finger Group, who seek to seize the relic for their own murderous purposes.
