Grey, by contrast, carries a playful edge and the air of a joker, smitten with Bianca the beautiful she-wolf, though his habit of not taking things seriously irritates her. Shia denounces Ragear, revealing the motive behind Magra’s death, and Grey challenges the top warrior to a final duel for leadership.

The turning point—not through a potion, but through growth. Mami and Bianca arrive with a supposed antidote meant to turn Grey back into a wolf; they offer a potion, but nothing happens. The true transformation comes from within, a result of Grey’s own maturing sense of responsibility and his resolve to protect both packs from ruin. The fight rages on, and Grey is buried beneath a pile of rocks, apparently defeated.
