Sharktopus vs. Pteracuda

Sometime after the events of the first film, marine biologist Lorena Christmas finds an egg sac containing a baby Sharktopus in the ocean. The discovery suggests the original creature managed to reproduce and leave offspring behind. This revelation sets the stage for a new wave of danger as Lorena becomes involved with Symodyne's experiments.

Dr. Rico Symes releases a barracuda-pterodactyl hybrid above the desert, claiming it will serve military purposes. He ignores security chief Hamilton's warnings and pushes the project forward. The device is intended to project power, but its instability soon becomes clear.

Pteracuda is directed toward the Symodyne lab and kills a worker, showcasing its lethal reach. A Symodyne scientist, Vladimir Futon, secretly hacks the creature to terrorize targets. Control of the beast becomes a dangerous bargaining chip as chaos spreads.

Hamilton and his commandos engage the Pteracuda in a tense helicopter battle as the hack becomes evident. Symes informs Hamilton that the Pteracuda’s system has been compromised. The encounter heightens the sense that the threat extends beyond a single lab accident.

The Pteracuda forces the helicopter to crash into the ocean, killing everyone aboard except Hamilton. Futon loses the signal after spilling a beverage and crashing his car, leaving Pteracuda to operate under its own command. The chase shifts from air to land and sea.

Lorena works at a water park/aquarium owned by her uncle Munoz, where the now fully grown Sharktopus looms as a constant threat. Public interest spikes as the creature makes headlines, and Symes begins to realize the original Sharktopus may have reproduced. The stage is set for a clash between corporate interests and wild science.

Sharktopus footage goes viral as it is revealed that the original creature has reproduced. Symes recognizes the implications for control and containment, while public fear grows. The idea of a breeding line of hybrid monsters complicates any straightforward solution.

Symes and Hamilton force Munoz to surrender Sharktopus for use against Pteracuda, much to Lorena’s fury. The team prepares the creature for battle, hoping to turn the tide against the other hybrid menace. The decision marks a turning point in their alliance with Lorena.

Sharktopus and Pteracuda are released into the ocean to fight, tearing through divers and terrorizing coastal areas. Their first clash proves that the two hybrids are capable of causing massive destruction before any decisive strategy emerges. Public safety sirens rise along the shore.

Munoz imprisons Lorena to silence her, but she escapes and contacts her lifeguard boyfriend Rick Hoffman to warn others. The Sharktopus and Pteracuda return to the beach, killing several people, including a celebrity sighting, as chaos spreads. The disaster exposes the fragility of coastal towns under attack.

Futon regains control of Pteracuda from a hotel and triggers a plane crash that kills everyone aboard. He escapes with the hacked computer, while Hamilton shoots him during the escape. In the fallout, Futon is left to be consumed by Pteracuda while Symes tries to foil the plan to weaponize the monsters.

Lorena, Hamilton, and Symes devise a plan to lure Pteracuda using a disco ball; Sharktopus arrives to join the fight and the two beasts collide once more. Hamilton fires a harpoon that breaches Pteracuda’s computer chip, causing an overload and explosion. As they retreat, the Sharktopus clamps onto their boat, leaving the outcome ambiguous as the scene ends.
