Sharknado

An Asian man named Mr. Palmer arrives to negotiate a million-dollar deal for Captain Santiago's illegal shark fins. They agree, with a down payment hidden in a tackle box, but a violent storm hits and the tension escalates. Palmer flees with the gun and tackle box after a confrontation on deck, and the captain discovers the betrayal as sharks begin leaping aboard; both are eaten as chaos swallows the ship.

Back in Santa Monica, Finley 'Fin' Shepard runs a bar on the pier with Baz. News of an approaching storm promises great surf, drawing locals like Nova and George. The quiet mood is shattered when Fin witnesses the first signs of trouble as the sea begins to churn with danger.

A fellow surfer is mauled by a shark, triggering chaos in the water. Baz panics on his jet ski before Fin intervenes by ramming the creature with his surfboard to save Baz. They retreat inland as sharks leap aboard and attack people on the sand.

As the bar shelter is battered by the storm, Fin calls April to check on Chloe. A shark bursts through the front window; Nova uses a pool cue to kill it, revealing her hatred of sharks. With the storm worsening, the group arms themselves—Nova with a rifle, George with a barstool—preparing to hold out against the onslaught.

The storm floods the area and hundreds of sharks flood the water. Fin, Baz, Nova and George attempt to move inland in Fin's truck, stopping to help others along the way. George dies heroically when a shark swallows him while freeing a dog from a car.

The group reaches Fin's ex-home where April is angry and Chloe is stubborn. A shark bursts from a sewer and Nova shoots it; April finally accepts that the danger is real. They decide to move Chloe and Matt inland to safety.

On the road toward Van Nuys, Fin's crew encounters more sharks and relies on Nova's sharpshooting while Baz steals a fortified Humvee. Fin unexpectedly rescues a busload of teens, earning their thanks as Robbie the Bus Driver dies in a comic death.

The storm reaches hurricane strength as three enormous waterspouts funnel hundreds of sharks toward inland areas. In Van Nuys, Matt and Nova join the fray, while their allies gather supplies and prepare for a daring plan.

Matt devises a plan to throw bombs into the waterspouts from the air, aided by Nova. They fly close to the twisters to drop the bombs while Baz plots a Humvee-assisted alternative. The ground crew fights sharks raining down from the skies as the town braces for impact.

As one twister remains, Baz is attacked and eaten by a shark, underscoring the peril. The remaining crew continues their mission against the encroaching swarm, prepared for a final showdown.

Fin drives a Humvee loaded with a bomb toward the last twister and detonates it, sacrificing himself in the process. The blast destabilizes the cyclone and the sharks tumble to the ground, giving Matt a chance to land the helicopter safely.

In the aftermath, Fin survives the explosion and rescues Nova from the shark's belly. Nova survives, Matt performs CPR, and April kisses Fin, signaling a hopeful ending for the rescued family.
