Saraswati sees Krishnamoorthy living happily with Bhanu and two children, and she murders them all on the same day, sparing only the son who turns out to be Karthik. The childhood tragedy solidifies Karthik's link to Saraswati and cements the vendetta across generations.

In the present, Saraswati hallucinates Karthik for Krishnamoorthy and kidnaps Priya, forcing Karthik to confront a grim choice as she holds a gun to his wife. The confrontation escalates into a violent standoff, drawing in the police who are trying to prevent a tragedy.

The police wound Saraswati in the leg with a shot, and she fatally shoots herself, concealing Priya's whereabouts. Karthik and Priya are finally located and reunite, ending the central mystery and restoring their relationship.
