The orphan Krishna works as a servant in a house when the owner bribes a bent cop to accuse him of murdering his wife, landing him in juvenile detention. This early betrayal seeds his deep mistrust of the system. The injustice becomes a driving force behind his vow to fight corruption from within.

Inside the detention facility, Krishna befriends a warden who becomes his mentor and champion. The warden teaches discipline and the belief that integrity can reform a broken system. This guidance plants the dream of becoming an officer who can root out injustice.

Years pass and Krishna rises to the rank of inspector, carrying his mentor's lessons into policing. He rejects duplicating the system's wrongs and commits to pursuing honest justice. The ascent marks a pivotal shift from victim to officer with real power.

Krishna is assigned to work under the vicious Circle Inspector Purushotham, joining a cadre of outcasts. He enters a corrupt ecosystem where bribery and intimidation threaten every case. He must choose how far he will go to clean up the delicts.

A typist named Sarma complains of harassment, but Purushotham closes the case with a kickback. Sarma seeks help from the media, enlisting journalist Satya, and Purushotham retaliates by assaulting Satya and destroying her typing machine. Krishna, moved by the injustice, buys a new machine for Sarma, and Satya grows to respect and connect with him.

Purushotham assigns Krishna to pursue a gangster with an eight-bullet revolver, giving him one day to act. Krishna traces the Don Babloo Yadav, and with Satya's help, captures a boy named Siva who had lifted the gun. The weapon changes hands as Siva hands it to a gun dealer, and another buyer ends up with it as the case escalates.

Krishna's case widens into a bank robbery involving Raju, a taxi driver, and Husain, Babloo's accomplice. A little girl named Shreya dies in the chaos, and the postmortem reveals the bullet originated from a police gun. The incident pushes Satya to reveal Krishna's involvement, landing him on suspension.

Paramjyothi, a principled investigator, is assigned to the case and secretly allies with Krishna. They interrogate Siva, who remains wary of reforming himself into a gangster. The duo's collaboration hints at a path to honesty amid deep-rooted corruption.

Krishna Murthy's backstory reveals a constable worn down by neglect and tragedy. His failed Provident Fund, a rejected bank loan, and his wife's death fuel his bitterness toward the system. He becomes entangled with Babloo's gang as he seeks a life beyond poverty.

Husain, Maha's lover, teams with Babloo's gang in thefts, while Krishna closes in on their links. The jewelry shop's serial numbers expose Husain, and Paramjyothi accelerates efforts against Babloo. The pursuit culminates in a deadly showdown where Babloo dies and Husain flees.

Krishna discovers that Krishna Murthy himself is the mastermind behind many crimes, feeding information to capture him. Raju becomes an informer but is silenced by a final bullet. The net tightens around the bank robbery and the gang's killings as truth edges closer.

In a climactic twist, Krishna Murthy trails Purushotham to a bank, where Purushotham is killed in the ensuing gunfight. Paramjyothi and Rakesh are drawn into danger, and Krishna regains his job after a tense but ultimately exonerating cross-fire. The film closes with Krishna riding with Satya, and a final sighting of the employer who framed him.
