Geetha, the pampered daughter of a wealthy merchant Narasimha, meets Arya, a cheerful, carefree presence, at her friends’ wedding. Geetha is reluctantly sent to Bangalore for studies by her mother, and there she crosses paths with Arya, who steps in to help with her exams. Geetha makes it clear she isn’t looking for a relationship. Arya loves her but keeps his feelings hidden, afraid of rejection.

A rift grows between them, and Arya finally admits his love, frustrated by Geetha’s lack of clarity about her life and her habit of waiting for a prince who never arrives. In anger, Geetha returns home and accepts a marriage proposal from her cousin Chandan. Chandan’s father, Viswa, uncovers Geetha and Arya’s past romance and informs Narasimha. Narasimha then reveals a painful family secret from his own past: his elder sister Meera was once engaged to Viswa, a trusted servant and employee, and ten days before the wedding, Viswa learns Meera is pregnant with Shankar’s child, which drives a wedge between Narasimha and Viswa.

In the present timeline, it’s revealed that Arya is the son of Shankar. When Shankar learns of Arya’s love for Geetha, he urges Arya to head to Geetha’s village. A confrontation ensues, and Arya reveals that Meera loved another doctor—also named Shankar. The truth begins to surface: Meera was pregnant with Dr. Shankar’s child (Arya), and the plan to tell Narasimha is set in motion. Viswa, consumed by anger, kills Meera and Dr. Shankar, and Shankar is knocked into a coma. With no one left to tell the truth, Shankar conceals the past as Viswa marries Narasimha’s younger sister Jyoti and raises Arya as his own son.

The family’s world is rocked, and Viswa and Chandan even attempt to abduct Geetha. Arya and Shankar intervene, stopping the plot and sparing Geetha from harm. In the end, the threads of past and present begin to untangle: Shankar and Narasimha reconcile, and they give their blessing to Geetha and Arya’s relationship, offering a glimmer of hope for a future built on trust and understanding.
