Shaggy's irrational fear prompts Mystery Inc. to take him to a tranquil spa in La Serena to help him cope. At the spa, they meet owner Mr. Hubley and the paleontologist Svankmajer, with Windsor overseeing a nearby dig. The visit sets up an uneasy alliance between the investigators and the spa staff as the mystery begins to unfold.

While the group settles in, a looming 'ghost dinosaur' attack erupts at the dig site, freezing Shaggy with fear.
