Ching, May-kwan, and Siu-chuen are famous mercenaries who capture wanted criminals. A complicated love triangle forms as Siu-chuen loves May-kwan, who secretly harbors feelings for Ching. May-kwan blinds Old Eagle, securing a vendetta from Silver Fox, who is eager to avenge him, while Siu-chuen sacrifices himself in the conflict and Fox loses his right eye to May-kwan.

May-kwan departs to try to forget Siu-chuen and ease her guilt. In her absence, Ching begins training Wai-heung to become his capable assistant and sharpens his own sword skills. The trio’s shifting loyalties set the stage for renewed confrontations and new bonds.

On Wai-heung's sixteenth birthday, the Madam of Pets hosts a martial-arts contest to choose a husband. May-wai manipulates Ching into believing the Madam of Pets is May-kwan. Tensions rise as the contest becomes a proxy for rivalries and concealed affections.

Ching crashes the contest without an invitation, dispatching guards and the top competitor to reach the Madam of Pets. He realizes the host is not May-kwan and confronts May-wai about the deception. May-wai shoots him with a Suffocate Bullet, knocking him unconscious.

May-wai presses her plan to draw Ching away to New York City while Silver Fox taps May-kwan's phone and hatches a direct attack. Fox targets May-wai's house with a Thunder Bomb, putting May-kwan and her circle in danger. Ching, hiding at May-wai's house, overhears a pivotal phone call that reveals May-kwan's location across from him.

Ching discovers that May-kwan has been living in the flat across from his own and races to her side. Silver Fox presses the assault as the net tightens around the lovers. May-kwan's safety hangs in the balance as the conflict escalates.

Fox inhales Horrible Angel drugs and invades May-kwan's body, threatening to enslave her within 24 hours. Ching arrives to counter Fox with a sword duel and to rush May-kwan to the hospital for treatment. Wai-heung mourns the looming tragedy as the couple fights for their lives.

Wai-heung learns from May-kwan's murmurs that May-kwan never loved her brother and was in love with Ching all along. Ching finally admits his own feelings for May-kwan, and she reciprocates as her time grows shorter. The emotional truth deepens the bond between them.

May-kwan urges Ching to destroy her if she becomes a Horrible Angel, fearing Fox's control. The couple faces an impossible choice as time runs out and the stakes grow higher. The Madam of Pets' influence continues to complicate any attempt at saving May-kwan.

Ching pleads with the Madam of Pets to save May-kwan, but she forces him to kneel through a trail of shattered glass that cuts his knees. Even after he fulfills her conditions, she refuses to save May-kwan. Desperate, Ching carries May-kwan back home and plans a deadly trap so they can die together.

Silver Fox arrives at May-kwan's flat, capturing May-wai and Wai-heung and unleashes Horrible Angel on Ching. Ching fights back by seizing the drug and inhaling it himself to counter Fox's power. He lures Fox toward his own flat, triggering a devastating gas explosion.

The Madam of Pets and her followers arrive just in time to save May-kwan from the explosion and administer an antidote. She claims to have saved May-kwan so she will never be with Ching, but secretly gives Ching an extra antidote to ensure his survival. Ching and May-kwan then leave to roam the world together as a couple.
