The authorities debate how best to resolve the standoff, with plans to use Nisha as bait to capture Salim. The drama intensifies as a sniper fires and misses, and Salim, in a dramatic display of resolve, throws a would-be rescuer out of a window, threatening a grim turn if his demands are not met.

Salim learns a devastating truth about the four men: they had raped the girl Salim found on the roadside, and after her discharge, they killed her and her mother, dumping their bodies in a sewage drain. The revelation hardens Salim’s resolve to escape any fate that would see him punished for protecting the vulnerable. He tells the police not to chase him, insisting on securing his own exit. To this end, Thavapooniam arranges a car fitted with a bomb and a remote detonator, turning the pursuit into a deadly game. Salim continues to hold Guru hostage, climbs into Guru’s car, and drives away, using the chase as a calculated move to force the minister’s hand.

The final chase erupts as Thavapooniam’s men flood the road with trucks, attempting to ram Salim’s escape vehicle. The collision that follows is brutal and sudden, and when the smoke clears, the authorities discover Guru inside the wrecked car. The film closes on a tense, unresolved note, with Salim’s fate hanging in the balance, a stark reminder of the high price he paid for choosing to defend the vulnerable.
