Set in 1914 Lebanon under Ottoman rule, the film follows Abdou, who is arrested while fetching an engagement ring for Adla and forced into lumber‑cutting labor. The Ottomans also block wheat shipments to villages to cripple the resistance led by Abou Ahmed. Determined, Adla tracks rumors of Abdou’s captivity, joins forces with Abou Ahmed, and rallies villagers to clandestinely bring wheat to the starving populace. After the successful delivery, Abou Ahmed frees Abdou and the other prisoners; they escape, vowing to return and continue the fight against oppression.
