Ruth & Boaz

Ruth, overwhelmed by guilt for Marlon’s death and Naomi’s ruin, leaves Atlanta and moves to Pegram, Tennessee, to care for the grieving mother-in‑law. At first Naomi is cold, still shattered by the loss of her son and husband, but Ruth’s steady presence slowly draws her back to faith and community. The townspeople, moved by Naomi’s plight, help rebuild her home, and Ruth finds work at a vineyard where a chance karaoke performance goes viral, inadvertently alerting the vengeful producer Sy to her whereabouts.

When Sy and his thugs arrive in Pegram, they set fire to Boaz’s antique wine stock and assault Naomi, hoping to force Ruth back into his contract. Boaz intervenes, the police are called, and Sy is arrested, ending his terror over Ruth’s life. The blaze, however, gives Boaz’s wine a distinctive smoky flavor; he markets the new “R & B” blend, which wins an award and secures his business.

With the threat gone, Ruth and Boaz’s friendship blossoms into love. Naomi, healed by Ruth’s devotion and by witnessing the couple’s happiness, finally embraces Ruth as a daughter and blesses their union. Ruth and Boaz marry, start a new life together, and the film closes on the promise that love and faith can mend even the deepest wounds.
