Green slime rains down on the couple, and a grotesque slug slips into the scene, triggering brutal consequences: the slug’s effects devastate the boy—castration—while the girl is dissolved by the bizarre exposure. The incident sets the tone for a story that blends high school drama with outrageous body horror and corporate scheming.

Meanwhile, Lee Harvey Herzkauf, head of Tromorganic Foodstuffs Conglomerate, teams up with Tromaville High School’s principal, Westley, and even the President of the United States to poison the student body with radioactive tacos. Their plan is shadowed by a fear of exposure from a rogue blogger, Chrissy Goldberg, who is navigating a rocky relationship with her boyfriend Eugene and growing tension with the new girl, Lauren. Chrissy’s restlessness and insecurity push her to pick fights, especially after Lauren accidentally splashes water during lunch, sparking a confrontation that somehow ends with both of them in detention.

Chrissy’s circle includes her friend Zac, who tries to ask Lauren out, only to misread her rejection. At the same time, a brainy kid named Terrence Horowitz feels the aftereffects of tainted tacos, mutating in a violent and explosive fashion—his death becomes a touchstone for how quickly things spiral when the food conspiracy intersects with the school’s social web. They attack and kill several Cretins in a climactic confrontation, a moment that reshapes the social order of Tromaville High. Zac, eager to prove himself, seeks acceptance by the Cretins but is told he must exact revenge on Chrissy and Lauren to join them, underscoring the toxic dynamics driving the town.

The following day, the mutations fade from Chrissy and Lauren, and their memories of the night are hazy. Chrissy uncovers a grim discovery: Herzkauf has captured a number of Tromaville High students and is keeping them in cages. The two girls share a kiss again before returning to class, a quiet sign of their commitment amid chaos. Zac secretly films their moment, a reminder that their world remains under constant surveillance.

In a science class altercation, Chrissy confronts a Cretin after being insulted with a homophobic slur, an incident that results in the accidental blinding of her teacher, Mr. Chip, by a laser and lands chrissy in the principal’s office.
