Rough, tough and politically incorrect in classic 70s style, Regan was the pilot for the hit UK series The Sweeney. John Thaw plays irascible DI Jack Regan, whose intuitive methods clash with a modernising Scotland Yard. When a fellow officer is murdered, Regan bends every rule to find the killer, only to face Flying Squad members ready to break him.
