Set in September 1960, eight scouts are sent on a punitive trek up the massive Brévent mountain, aiming for its 2,500‑metre summit. The striking, majestic peaks quickly turn hostile; familiar scouting navigation skills prove useless. Lost in abrupt valleys, the boys confront bitter cold, hunger and mounting fear as they struggle to survive.
