Rasukutty, the heir to a wealthy landlord, grows up spoiled by his mother Eswari while his father Periyapannai pushes him to become responsible. Sembuli schemes to get into debt trouble by placing a newspaper ad for a missing Soona Baana to collect money he owes. The stunt drags Rasukutty and his circle into more trouble and draws unwanted attention. This plot seeds the later chain of confrontations.
