The film opens with the metaphorical ‘flower of illusion’ as abused schoolgirl Alisa and neglected housewife Harumi plot to escape bleak futures. They use a stolen bag of cash to fund a fresh start, but an incest‑obsessed father and a jealous mother‑in‑law pursue them. Their night‑long trek toward a new life becomes longer and stranger than expected.
