Set in a small town near Warsaw, a young director stages Wyspianski’s classic ‘Wyzwolenie’ with a modern edge. The troupe falls into stereotypical roles, while the ageing star hopes for his greatest performance. The lead actor rebels, insisting on reshaping the part his way, and his wife endures his anxieties, resigned to her fading puppet theatre.
