After five years in prison, con artist Szu is cast out by his young wife and heads to Lutyn, where he resumes his scams. He attracts Jurek, a cab driver who imagines himself a great grifter. Szu, called “Sharp,” teaches Jurek tricks that let him win money in Wrocław, then departs with Jola, a prostitute offering a new mark. Jurek’s drive to win big, Sharp’s cold calculations, and the sins’ wages unfold.
