In the 1960s in Krynica, the orderly routine of veteran artist Włosiński is upended when the local outsider Nikifor—deaf, mute and regarded as a harmless eccentric—appears in his studio and begins creating naive paintings. Their unlikely friendship ignites a late‑life artistic and personal renewal for both men, reshaping Włosiński’s world and finally bringing overdue recognition to Nikifor’s unique talent.
