Pathrose was hired by Sebastian Kuzhivelil (the ward counselor) to throw stones at Mahalakshmi's house, intentionally framing Raja for the attack. This was part of a coordinated effort by Sebastian and Sulaiman Sahib to prevent the Kammath brothers from opening their new restaurant. The plan succeeded in getting Raja arrested and detained in police lockup.

Deva was detained based on false allegations of selling liquor at their restaurant. Sebastian and Sulaiman Sahib orchestrated this by arranging for liquor bottles to be delivered to the restaurant and framing Deva. However, CCTV footage later proved the truth, that the liquor was planted to implicate him, and Deva had nothing to do with any illegal sales.

The marriage represents reconciliation and the merging of past loyalties with present relationships, bringing closure to the family tensions throughout the story.
