Ottone and his loyal companion Savio constantly outwit Roman centurions, eking out food and drink through a series of clever scams. Their lives change when Nero’s elegant wife, Poppea, becomes fascinated with Ottone. After a brief stint as a gladiator, he is rewarded with governorship of a province and his own legion, all while Savio remains his trusted partner in crime.
