Pokémon: The Rise of Darkrai

A hundred years ago, Godey the Space-Time Towers architect recorded a nightmare in his diary about two entities crossing a space-time rift. The nightmare foretold that their meeting would envelop Alamos Town and cause its collapse. The diary hinted at a future warning and would later be discovered by his great-grandson Tonio.

In a garden designed by Godey, Darkrai opened its heart to Alicia and was invited to stay. The moment established a fragile friendship that tied Darkrai to the garden's fate. Godey realized the nightmare pointed to a future where a music disc would calm a fierce rage.

Godey concluded that the nightmare's warning required him to create a music disc named Oración to soothe rage. He prepared the disc for future use as a key to calm the upheaval of space and time. The project tied the song to the town's ancient fate.

Years later, Darkrai rescued Alicia's granddaughter Alice after she fell from a cliff. The rescue formed a bond that endured into the present. The act remained a quiet beacon within the town's looming prophecy.

In the present, Palkia and Dialga clash in the space around Alamos Town, causing disturbances. Ash, Brock, and Dawn arrive for Dawn's contest inside the Space-Time Towers. The upheaval also damages the garden where Darkrai once lingered.

The disturbance leads Baron Alberto to suspect Darkrai, and he battles with Lickilicky. During this clash, Darkrai makes Ash fall asleep and projects a nightmare of Palkia attacking him. The tense events foreshadow a deeper conflict between dream and dimension.

After the nightmare, Darkrai disappears into a hole that drags Ash and Pikachu with it. They are pulled into the space between dimensions with no obvious way back. The moment marks a literal plunge into the multiverse's instability.

The next day, an injured Palkia surfaces in Alamos Town and hides from Dialga. In a burst of power, it shifts the town into a new dimension with no escape. The residents must navigate living in an altered space-time landscape.

Darkrai reappears in the town square and orders someone to leave. Alberto and other trainers clash with it to defend the townspeople. Darkrai then traps many Pokémon in nightmares across the square.

Tonio discovers Palkia resting between the Space-Time Towers. Darkrai attacks the resting guardian to assert its dominance. Ash realizes Darkrai's nightmare warnings were aimed at Palkia.

Dialga arrives and fires on Palkia, then crashes into it as they clash. The space-time energy fractures the town and the surrounding area, threatening total collapse. The crisis reaches a critical point as the guardians battle amidst the wreckage.

Alice locates the Oración disc and Ash and Dawn climb toward the skybridge to play it. Brock helps evacuate the townspeople as the plan unfolds. The discovery of the disc marks a hopeful turning point in the crisis.

Tonio warns that another collision between Palkia and Dialga could destroy the dimension. The warning heightens the urgency for everyone to act. The heroes prepare to use Oración to calm the titans.

During the battle, Darkrai crosses the line of attack and forms a protective sphere to block Palkia and Dialga. The move keeps the two legendary Pokemon immobilized and buys time for the others. The fate of the town hangs on the outcome.

The Oración disc charges the Space-Time Towers as Pikachu and Dawn's Pachirisu energize the song, calming Palkia and Dialga. Dialga departs and Palkia's wound heals, restoring the town. The heroes mourn Darkrai's apparent sacrifice, then find Darkrai atop the Space Tower alive, and the end credits reveal Dawn failing to win a ribbon.
