In 1902 Cairo, a street riot erupts as Captain Storm is assigned a small contingent—himself, Gromley, and Smolet—to retrieve the members of an unsanctioned expedition in the Valley of the Kings. Their objective is the lost tomb of Rahateb. The mission also requires escorting Sylvia Quentin, the expedition leader's wife, to keep the group together amid escalating danger.
