Bala, Bagavathi Perumal is a middle-class young man with dreams larger than his reality. He works as a junior artist in Tamil cinema and longs to become a major action hero, inspired since childhood by legendary stars and their iconic performances. His days are a continuous test of his resolve as he chases auditions, small roles, and the stubborn belief that a big break is possible, even when circumstances push him back and again.

Across Bala’s life stands Janaki, also known as Jeni, Vedhika, his former classmate who once carried feelings for him. After a heartbreak caused by Bala’s unrequited love, she reinvents herself and rises as a successful pop singer. Years later, fate reunites them under dramatic circumstances when Jeni accidentally injures the brother of a powerful gangster while defending herself. At the same time, Bala collides with the gangster’s car, a collision that proves his courage and resilience in the face of danger.

Bala’s world begins to unravel even as he proves his bravery. He loses key industry opportunities after clashing with a film’s lead on set and finds himself blacklisted. Faced with the weight of failure, he contemplates ending his life but resolves instead to live one last time, selling family heirlooms to fund a final spree that could redefine his fate.

In the midst of this turmoil, Bala and Jeni cross paths again at a wedding reception. Their reunion stirs old memories and forces both of them to confront the choices that shaped their lives. The story follows Bala as he struggles with despair, rekindles his passion for dance and music, and searches for redemption.

Structured to move between past and present, the film traces the shared history of Bala and Jeni, their separation, and the challenges they face in pursuing love and ambition. Throughout, Bala grapples with failures, rekindles his dreams, and faces the possibility of hope and a new beginning.
