Seth, a restless young artist fascinated by Black pop culture, lives a dead‑end life in an Adirondack village. He harshly rebuffs Kristen’s sexual advances. One night a sick, gun‑wielding Black robber, Knowledge, faints; Seth takes him to a family cabin, nurses him and forms a tentative bond. When the sheriff discovers Seth is sheltering an escaped prisoner, a tense showdown looms, while strained father‑child relationships thread through the subplots.
