Selim, a drifting young transvestite and prostitute, longs desperately for his father’s affection. Omar, his father, lives in isolated grief, never recovering from his wife’s death. Like two solitary ships, they glide past each other without meaningful contact. Fate eventually forces them together, but only when it is almost too late, in the end.
