When a rare planetary alignment occurs, a disparate group—a astrophysicist, locksmith, salesman, architect, loader and trolley‑bus driver—are summoned for military training that ends abruptly. Suddenly suspended between duties, they find themselves with no obligations or destination, allowing a brief pause in their hurried lives to confront deep, unexpected emotions.
